
The Franco-Spanish singer Manu Chao has given tens of thousands of Cubans before a memorial concert for the Argentine revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
Accompanied only by a guitar, the artist was on Saturday at the University of Havana, including his hits “Clandestine” and “Desaparecidos “for the best. Many of the approximately 20,000 fans wore “Che” T-shirts and so reminiscent of the well 42 years ago killed Guevara.
In his honor, Chao will give a concert on Monday in Santa Clara, about 280 kilometers east of Havana, where Che’s grave.
