Former Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa is no longer alive. He was ignominiously surrendered after a disgraceful performance from politics.
As police and Japanese media reported on Sunday found the body of the former minister in his Tokyo home. For further details, a police spokesman initially did not comment.
According to the media Nakagawa was discovered in his bedroom. He had caused an international stir in February when he appeared drunk at a press conference on the G-7 Summit released in Rome.
Nakagawa’s appearance made him the laughing stock of the world, for the already ailing former LDP government was unacceptable. Under public pressure, he finally resigned.
